Origin & Breeding History: 'Boogie Woogie' was discovered as a naturally occurring sport mutation on a plant of Sedum variety 'Little Miss Sunshine' at Walter Gardens, Inc. in Zeeland, Michigan, USA on August 13, 2017. The sport was cut from the mother plant the same day and further propagated by cuttings. It was selected at the time of discovery for its plant growth habit, distinct and stable foliage variegation, flower colour and height and reblooming capabilities. 'Boogie Woogie' was initially propagated by cuttings in the fall of 2017.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'Boogie Woogie' was conducted outdoors during the summer of 2023 at Variety Rights Management in Oxford Station, Ontario. The trial included a total of 15 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown in 16 cm pots spaced 45 cm apart. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or parts of plants, of each variety in July 2022. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart. Mean differences were significant at the 5% confidence probability level based on a paired Student's t-test.
