General

Botanical Features

Agricultural Features

High yielding variety, attractive appearance. Tuber size very early. Set spacing should be 25 cm. Oversizing and internal defects can be a problem if topkilling and harvesting are not properly timed. Resistant to skinning. Low tuber set. Good response to green sprouting. Does not store well. Medium to high specific gravity; low total glycoalkaloids.

Reaction to Diseases

Immune: PVX
Highly resistant: PVA, PVS, PVY
Moderately resistant: potato wart.
Susceptible: common scab, fusarium dry rot, leaf roll, verticillium wilt.

Note : Jemseg has some resistance to internal transmission of wilt organisms through the seed-piece.
