Biosecurity measures help to prevent and manage the introduction and spread of pests in Canada. This National Voluntary Farm-Level Biosecurity Standard for the Greenhouse, Nursery and Floriculture Sectors provides producers with a nationally consistent approach to develop and implement a biosecurity plan. The self-assessment checklist in Appendix 1 will help producers determine the appropriate biosecurity measures for a place of production. For more information on applying biosecurity principles from the standard to a place of production, refer to the producer guides for the greenhouse, nursery or floriculture sector.
