Process for grain phytosanitary certificates for Western Canada exporters
To provide Western Canada grain exporters with consistent and timely service, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has implemented the following business process.
Grain sample submission for phytosanitary inspection
Grain samples (Canadian Grain Sampling Program) associated with each phytosanitary application must be sent to one of the following CFIA offices:

Applications for Grain Export Phytosanitary Certificates
Applications for an export phytosanitary certificate must be submitted by:
- Completing form Application for Export Inspection and Phytosanitary Certification - CFIA/ACIA 3369
- Emailing the form to west-phyto-ouest@inspection.gc.ca
The processing of phytosanitary certificates are handled from a central processing office in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Phytosanitary certificates will be issued within 10 working days of receipt of the completed forms and related samples. Original signed versions of the certificate will be sent by courier to the applicant.
