The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) has confirmed with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) that, effective immediately, the Certificate of Free Sale (CFIA/ACIA 5786) can be issued as the sole export certificate for shipments of Canadian canola oil. The Certificate of Free Sale can be issued for shipments of canola oil for direct human consumption, and for canola oil that will be processed in Taiwan for human consumption.

The Certificate of Free Sale replaces previously required export documentation:  an export declaration form from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC); the Manufacturer's Declaration Form (CFIA/ACIA 5280); and, an endorsement letter from the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT).
