Pre-export approvals by competent authority of importing country
The importation of poultry meat must be authorized by the Ghanaian authorities on a case-by-case basis and an import permit is required. The exporter and importer are responsible to ensure that the appropriate import permits are obtained for the products destined for export.
Production controls and inspection requirements
All imports are subject to inspection at destination.
Exporters are advised to work closely with Ghanaian importers to assure that the product meets applicable requirements. For example, fat content, labelling requirements, etc.
