Order Declaring a Secondary Control Zone

Whereas:

I, The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, believe that the disease, African swine fever, can be prevented from spreading into Canada in the areas in Canada described in the schedule attached hereto;

Therefore, I hereby declare, pursuant to subsection 27.1(2) of the Health of Animals Act^Footnote 1, that the areas described in the Schedule attached hereto are the Secondary Control Zones, effective March 29, 2019, in which I believe that African swine fever may be introduced.
