Key Strategic Initiatives - Milestones at a Glance

Recognizing that the ability to adapt and respond to new risks and rapid changes in our environment is crucial to future success, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) consolidated its modernization initiatives into five strategic priorities: modern regulatory toolkit; integrated risk management; consistent and efficient inspections; digital-first tools and services and global leader.

There are several projects under each of these priorities that help the Agency move forward and position itself for the future. These projects have the greatest impact on how we do business and how we interact with industry.
