December 9, Ottawa

On December 5, 2019, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) cancelled licence number 7PMLDX4K of establishment 9029-2178 Québec inc. (Ferme avicole Yves Labelle et fils), an egg shell grading station located in Saint‑Eustache, Quebec.

There is no food recall associated with this cancellation.

On July 11, 2019, the licence of establishment 9029-2178 Québec inc. was suspended because the licence holder was not able to develop preventive control plans related to product and chemical control, in accordance with the relevant provisions of Part 4 of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations.

CFIA's follow-up inspection noted that the establishment failed to take corrective actions within 90 days of the suspension. As a result, CFIA informed the establishment of its intention to cancel licence number 7PMLDX4K and provided an opportunity to be heard.

CFIA publishes the list of suspensions and cancellations on its website.
