Exporters are advised to work closely with Ghananian importers to assure that the product meets applicable requirements (e.g. fat content, labelling requirements, etc.).
The importation of poultry meat must be authorized by the Ghananian authorities on a case-by-case basis and an import permit is required. The exporter/importer are responsible to ensure that appropriate import permit are obtained for the products destined for export.
All imports are subject to inspection at destination.
