Summary: The stalk of 'Maximinus' is medium to thick while it is thick for 'PS 9928302'. Before maturity, the fruit skin of 'Maximinus' is medium to dark green while the fruit skin of 'PS 9928302' is dark green. The fruit diameter of 'Maximinus' is broad to very broad while the fruit of 'PS 9928302' is very broad. The plants of 'Maximinus' mature early to mid-season while those of 'PS 9928302' mature mid to late season.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Maximinus' (breeder designation SV4856PB) is a hybrid bell pepper variety suitable for open field cultivation. It originated from a hand pollinated cross made between two proprietary Seminis breeding lines, SBR8T13-6129 and SBR8T11-6069, in 2013 at the Seminis Vegetable Seed, Inc. breeding station located in Felda, Florida, United States. The resulting hybrid, 'Maximinus', was selected in 2014 for its compact, dome-shaped, highly branched plant growth habit; uniform fruit maturity, size, shape, set; and disease resistance.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Maximinus' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number PPS1826, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2019 to 2020.
