Origin & Breeding History: 'Robmornpin' was developed from a Lantana camara L. breeding / selection program conducted in the 1990's by Robert Roberson in Grain Valley, Missouri, U.S.A. The goal for this breeding / selection program was to produce varieties with new colour breaks, new growth habits and / or growth characteristics superior to existing cultivars in the market. A semi-controlled open pollination of 'Robhathot' was allowed to occur in 1996 and 'Robmornpin' was selected from the resulting seedling population.

Tests & Trials: The test and trial for 'Robmornpin' was conducted in a polyhouse during the summer of 2005 at Variety Rights Management in Oxford Station, Ontario. The trial included 10 plants of each variety. The plants were grown in 15 cm pots spaced 20 cm apart. All colour characteristics were determined using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) colour chart and measured characteristics were based on ten plant measurements.
