Origin & Breeding History: 'Reese' orignated from as a naturally occurring mutation of the parent variety 'Sarah' in August 2006, in Hinnerup, Denmark. 'Reese' was discovered and developed as part of a planned breeding program conducted by the breeder Knud Jepsen. The new variety was selected based on plant size, flower size, flower colour and overall appearance. Asexual reproduction, by cuttings, of 'Reese' was first conducted in October 2006 in Hinnerup, Denmark.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Reese' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20091080, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany, in 2010. Colour determinations were made using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
