Origin & Breeding History: 'PKMTAK2' originated from a breeding program with the objective of developing new Campanula varieties with compact growth habit, greater floriferousness and more colourful flowers. A cross was conducted by the breeder in Sorhus, Denmark between the two unnamed proprietary seedlings, Campanula takesimana '21.01.0083' and Campanula punctata '39.00.3010', in March 2009. 'PKMTAK2' was selected in April 2011.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PKMTAK2' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2012/1162, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2013. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
