Origin & Breeding History: 'PKMT02' originated from a cross made in Sohus, Denmark in 2004. The parents were a proprietary selection of the species Campanula tubulosa named 35.01.2275 and the species Campanula carpatha. The variety 'PKMT02' was selected in 2005 based on flower colour, floriferousness and growth habit. The objective of this breeding program was to develop a new campanula variety with improved plant form, growth habit and floral traits.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PKMT02' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2007/0342, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by The National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) in Cambridge, United Kingdom, in 2008. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
