Effective April 21, 2016, the licence of Establishment 3514, Ferme Cedar Grove S.E.N.C., was reinstated.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the registration of Establishment 3514, Cedar Grove Farm S.E.N.C., a maple syrup producer located in Inverness, Quebec, effective April 14, 2016.

The establishment did not implement the required corrective measures in the prescribed time. These measures relate to non-compliance with the Maple Products Regulations, particularly with regard to clean and sanitary conditions of the equipment and facilities.

There is no recall associated with this suspension.

Establishment 3514, Cedar Grove Farm S.E.N.C. will not be able to resume operations until it has fully implemented the necessary corrective actions and the CFIA is confident in the facility's capacity to effectively manage food safety risks.

Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended or cancelled for failure to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations on its web site.
