Sanitary Requirements for Export of Pet Food to Peru

  3. The processing plant is authorized for the preparation of these products by the Official Competent Authority of the exporting country and has verifiable established procedures that prevent cross contamination with BSE risk materials.
  4. The product is suitable for animal consumption.
  5. During its preparation, the food has been subjected to a treatment that guarantees the destruction of any pathogenic agent that affects animal health (indicate treatment).
  6. The necessary precautions were taken after treatment to prevent the product coming into contact with any microorganism that is potentially pathogenic for animals.
  7. The product has been handled hygienically and packaged in clean packaging, made of impermeable, sealed and resistant materials, able to protect it from environmental contamination; so that the sterility obtained during the heat process is maintained.
