- Canada is free from Tropilaelaps clareae and Tropilaelaps koenigerum mites.
- The beeswax is treated in a manner which destroys varroa and acarine mites.
- All colonies from which the beeswax originates are inspected by the competent authority on an ad hoc basis and found to be free of American and European Foulbrood.
- A residue monitoring program is in place for honey produced in Canada.
