- Foot and mouth disease, rinderpest, hog cholera (classical swine fever), African swine fever and swine vesicular disease have not occurred in Canada during the previous twelve (12) months.
- The products were derived from animals which passed veterinary ante mortem and post mortem inspection at the time of slaughter.
- The products originate from a government licensed slaughtering establishment that slaughters animals for human consumption and operates under the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) supervision.
