Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia

Contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP) is an infectious and highly contagious bacterial disease in cattle and water buffalo. CBPP has been reported in Asian yaks and in American bison.

In Canada, CBPP is a reportable disease under the Health of Animals Act, and all suspected cases must be reported to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
