This livestock feed contains a medically important antibiotic. To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

Feed this medicated feed as the sole ration for 7 days.

As an aid in the treatment and the prevention of cyclic recurrence of swine dysentery (bloody scours, bloody diarrhea, black scours, hemorrhagic colitis, vibrio).

Directions for use in a complete feed

This livestock feed contains a medically important antibiotic. To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

  1. Treatment: Feed the treatment dose (110 mg/kg) for 3 weeks. Tylosin-medicated drinking water should be provided concurrently for the first 3 days of treatment, or until symptoms disappear.
  2. Prevention following Treatment: To prevent recurrence of swine dysentery, feed the prevention dose (44 mg/kg) as the sole ration until animals reach market weight.

Directions for use in a complete feed

This livestock feed contains a medically important antibiotic. To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest duration required to achieve the desired clinical outcome.

Feed continuously as the sole ration.

Warning

  1. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle.
  2. No preslaughter withdrawal periods are required for beef cattle when fed this medicated feed at the recommended level of 11 mg/kg (0.0011%) tylosin in complete feed.
  3. This product may be irritating to human skin and mucous membranes. When mixing and handling this premix, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Use protective clothing, impervious gloves, and a dust mask. (Required on premix and supplement labels only)
  4. Keep out of reach of children. (Required on premix and supplement labels only)

Caution

  1. Do not use in replacement, breeding, or lactating cattle.
  2. Not to be used in feeds containing pellet binding agents with the exception of Lignosol (4%) and Agri-Colloid (0.3%). Do not use in any supplement, concentrate or complete feed containing bentonite. May be used in a thixotropic liquid supplement with Rumensin. (Required on premix and supplement labels only)
  3. Do not use the thixotropic supplement after 8 weeks storage. (Required on Promolas Liquid Supplement Suspension and Westway Feed Products thixotropic liquid supplement labels only)

Accepted Compatibilities

Tylosin phosphate is compatible in single combination with the following drugs. In cases where there are differences in withdrawal time for the compatible medicating ingredients, the longer withdrawal time is the one that must be used, and is the only one that is to appear on the label of the finished feed.
