My CFIA: At your service
Plant, Animal and Food Businesses across Canada will be Using My CFIA to Help Follow Regulations
Digital technology is everywhere—whether you are banking, filing taxes, shopping, or reading the newspaper, it can all be done online.
To align with the digital age that businesses are operating in today, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has developed online services to help support them. One new initiative is My CFIA, a secure and convenient entry point to access CFIA online services.
My CFIA launched in January 2017, allowing all industry sectors to sign up for an account and allowing the Dairy Industry to renew establishment registrations.
Whether you are doing business with the CFIA as an individual, a business or working with clients as an alternative service provider (veterinarian or laboratory), sign up for My CFIA to access a growing number of online services throughout 2017. The next wave of online services will be available through My CFIA over the summer and will allow certain industry sectors to request:
- Export Certificates
With new regulations such as the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) coming into force, My CFIA will help you follow them by enabling you to access information and complete a number of business transactions, including applying for a licence.
The CFIA understands the importance of technology for many businesses. Our goal is to provide you with online services that meet your needs so you can cut back on unnecessary paper work and save valuable time.
Keep up to date with changes happening at the CFIA.
