Ottawa, May 7, 2014 - The food recall warning issued on May 02, 2014 has been updated to include additional distribution information. This additional information was identified during the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) food safety investigation.
Sunrise Bakery Ltd. is recalling ring donuts from the marketplace because they contain egg which is not declared on the label. People with an allergy to egg should not consume the recalled product described below.
The following product, which was distributed by Dawn Food Products, Calgary, AB, has been sold in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
Please note that the affected product may have been repacked or further decorated at retail so it may not be exactly as described above. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the affected product are advised to contact their retailer.

What you should do

This recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) inspection activities. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.
The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
There have been no reported allergic reactions associated with the consumption of this product.
