Ottawa, December 18, 2013 - The Food Recall Warning issued on December 9, 2013 has been updated to include additional codes and products. This additional information was identified during a food safety investigation.

Aurora Importing & Distributing Ltd. is recalling Aurora brand Corn Gnocchi and Rice Gnocchi because they may contain gluten which is not declared on the label. People with sensitivities to gluten should not consume the recalled products described below.

The following products have been sold in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba, but may have also have been sold in other provinces.

What you should do

If you have sensitivities to gluten, do not consume the recalled product as it may cause a serious reaction.


This recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.

The CFIA is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
