Effective March 9, 2016, Les Viandes P. P. Hallé Ltée surrendered its licence to operate and its registration of establishment 479, issued under the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

March 8, 2016, Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the operating licence of Les Viandes P. P. Hallé Ltée, a meat processing establishment in Quebec, effective March 8, 2016.

The operator's licence has been suspended because the operator has not developed and maintained Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans as required by the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

There is no recall associated with this suspension.

The operator will not be able to resume activities related to the processing of meat products until a CFIA inspector determines that the required corrective measures have been taken.

Licences and registrations of federally registered establishments or companies can be suspended, cancelled or refused renewal for failure to comply with relevant CFIA Acts and Regulations. The CFIA publishes a list of suspensions and cancellations on its website.
